6th Big Demo Day - Central Research

Big Demo Day VI, a highly anticipated event, was successfully held at Hong Kong Cyberport on August 29th. The theme of this Big Demo Day was Hong Kong Cyberport vs. Public Chains: Hong Kong's Layout and Planning in Web3. It was jointly organized by Hong Kong Cyberport and Central Research, with co-organized ny Techub News, IOST, OKLink, and CryptoPhd. As part of a series of large-scale events, Big Demo Day has seen over 150 project teams conducting roadshows since its launch in March this year. Numerous Web3 enterprises have engaged in financing, partnerships, and other business activities during Big Demo Day, further promoting the development of the Web3 industry in Hong Kong.

The event invited representatives from the Hong Kong government, local renowned enterprises, and Web3 experts to interpret the policies and support of the Hong Kong government and Cyberport for the Web3 field. The guests for this Big Demo Day included Ian Chan and Rachel Lee from Cyberport, Terry Chan from InvestHK, Eason Wong from OKLink, Jupiter Zheng and Henri Centieiro from Hashkey Capital, Du Yu from Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, Carter Lam from IOST, Chris Lee from TKX Capital, Edwin Kwok from O'Melveny, Alma Lee from Techub News, and Dylan Lee from Central Research.

In the panel, industry leaders in the Web3 field, including Terry Chan from InvestHK, Jupiter Zheng from Hashkey Capital, Eason Wong from OKLink, Carter Lam from IOST, and Edwin Kwok from O'Melveny, explored the support and layout of Hong Kong's Web2 enterprises in the Web3 industry, providing greater clarity on the strong support from local companies in Hong Kong for Web3.

Furthermore, an intense debate took place during the event. Representatives from six projects—Matr1x, Club3, Tearing Space, SEER, CredAI, and Coral Finance—discussed the topic of Emphasizing Community or Product in the Blockchain Gaming Community. Their speeches showcased unique insights into the development of the gaming industry and revealed the crucial relationship between gaming communities and products in the Web3 era.

During the afternoon project roadshow session, five projects received high praise from the audience and investors with their captivating presentations. These five projects demonstrated their innovation and potential, and contributed to the flourishing and limitless possibilities of the Web3 industry.
